Francisca Felix Kaboyo, a Form Two student at King'ori Secondary School in Arusha, has faced significant challenges since childhood. Raised by her single mother, Sarah Felix, alongside her younger sister, Glory, she relied entirely on her mother’s small-scale business for survival. In 2021, Sarah fell seriously ill, making it difficult to provide for her children. Struggling with medical expenses and school fees, she sought assistance from GH Foundation after her daughters were expelled from school. Diagnosed with severe pneumonia, Sarah received treatment at Rabinisia Hospital in Tegeta, facilitated by GH Foundation. While she initially recovered, her condition worsened, and despite further medical support, she sadly passed away. With no immediate guardian, Francisca and Glory were sent to live with their grandparents in Tanga, but financial hardships prevented them from continuing their education. GH Foundation intervened, enrolling them at Ebenezer English Medium School, where Francisca resumed her studies and excelled. After completing primary school, she was initially placed at Mwapachu Secondary School in Tanga before transferring to King'ori Secondary School in Arusha. Now excelling in her studies, Francisca aspires to become a social worker to support children facing similar hardships. GH Foundation remains committed to her educational journey, ensuring she continues to pursue her dreams despite past adversities. Her resilience and determination are truly inspiring.
